How the USI Began
The Birth of The United States Institute of Applied Knowledge
Have you ever struggled to get hired? Did you feel inadequate against the masses? Maybe you were told you're under-qualified or turned down for a reason that didn't make sense. You'd like to go to college, however, you can't afford it. It seems as though everything is a dead end of frustration, tension, depression; and giving up, though not an option, seems the only likely choice you have. Getting hired is not the same as it once was even ten years ago. Most every job applied for is on-line and unless you have the right keywords hitting the system your resume may be overlooked. Employers are no longer satisfied with just a high school graduate. They look for something more in their employees. Hands-on training is not a part of the learning process. You're to hit the floor running and know all, yet you do know. The only thing wrong is that you don't have a degree or proof of a post-secondary education.
The United States Institute of Applied Knowledge (USI) saw the need for those who are not college bound, to be growing in number. The report given by the Georgetown College shows the importance of those receiving a certificate are on the rise. Studies show the number of certificates awarded has skyrocketed more than 400% over the past 30 years. Certificate holders who work in field earn 37 percent more than those who work out of field. Dr. Bollin, the founder and CEO of USI, had helped a friend in need that wanted to get a better job, but couldn't afford college at the time. This is when the concept of USI was born. Dr. Bollin had found that many people struggled to get noticed for a job, and though they had all the requirements necessary to do the job they applied for, their resume was overlooked due to the lack of a college degree or some post-secondary education to prompt the employer to at least interview them.
Dr. Bollin has made it his lifetime goal to help those in need receive a Bachelor or Master Level Advanced Professional Certificate (APC) to enhance their ability to attain that job. The ungettable get. Here at USI we have created a solution to put you into the running. If college is not for you, yet you have 2 or more years of experience in a respected field, would like to have a sense of accomplishment to help you feel worthy enough to apply to a specific job, and would like to stand out in the crowd and get noticed by your peers and any future employer, please take a chance with USI. We would love to help you in your endeavor to receive that job you so richly deserve. Thank you for your visit to our site. I hope you enjoyed the information we have given.
Sincerely,
Amber Gorsh, Office Administrator
